Book metadata or previews may be shown from third-party sources (such as Google Books) for informational purposes only.

4. Orders, pricing, and payment

• Listed prices, rental periods, deposits (if any), and delivery fees are described at checkout or on the site and may change; taxes or charges may apply as required by law.
• We reserve the right to refuse or cancel orders (for example, due to stock, verification, or suspected fraud) and will notify you where practicable.
• You agree to provide accurate payment and delivery information and to pay all amounts due when placing an order.

5. Rental period, returns, and care of books

• You agree to return rented books on time and in good condition, normal wear excepted.
• Late returns, loss, or damage may result in additional fees or replacement charges as stated in your order confirmation or on the site.
• Do not mark, highlight, or damage books beyond acceptable use unless explicitly permitted.

6. Delivery and service areas

Delivery is available only in areas we currently serve. Estimated timelines are not guarantees. Risk of loss may pass to you upon delivery as described in our checkout or policy updates.

You agree not to:

Our total liability for claims arising from the Service is limited to the amount you paid us for the specific order giving rise to the claim in the twelve (12) months before the claim, or one hundred Indian rupees (₹100) if greater, unless mandatory law requires otherwise.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless RentMyBooks from claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.

13. Termination

14. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts located in New Delhi, India shall have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory consumer protections in your jurisdiction.
